Chibi Shocker vs Chibi Spiderman

So I spent about 4 days working on this project.  It was for a contest on threadless.  I did not expect it to win,  I just wanted to be accepted in the contest.  The official quote for rejection "Baby versions not allowed - rejected by Marvel."  This bummed me out.  One because Chibi's are cute version of the characters and they didn't see that and that it was rejected so easily.  So since this went no where please feel free to use it for whatever.

The Count, Counting.

So recently a t shirt company had a contest to design a Sesame Street themed shirt.  I took this opportunity to use this a test for multiple things.  Find an idea, Use captivate for the first time and have my design actually accepted.  I succeeded on two of those.  I got the idea from a friend, while we were working a long weekend. I promised we would split the pot 50/50 if any money came from it.  I used Adobe Captivate for the first time and only messed up a little.   My design though was not accepted, it was considered adult themed for the contest.  I had a fun time with this design because it was just a good idea.  I also love using my wacom cintiq 12wx, which I highly recommend to anybody who likes the feel of really drawing.  It has a built in screen and once you get it set up it is very accurate.  I used Adobe Illustrator for this project.  I mostly use illustrator for the Blob Brush Tool.  It create as an outline stroke object, which allows for more control over the design.  So here are the results and feel free to ask questions. I also posted a speed up video to give you a good idea how illustrator works. I attached pictures of what I submitted so enjoy and I hope you get a good laugh.

Applying for the God of War

I had a little down time at work.  I am very happy how this came out.  I was testing multiplying, overlay and normal settings.  Each character has a layer for those colors.  Than after I was done with them I put an multiply texture on top to give it a grunge feel.  I hope you enjoy and I had fun with Kali and Wrinkle the White Knight

Frog Man

I feel like this guy came out of left field.  A fisherman, mixed with a frog, mixed with a walrus mustache.  The walrus mustaches is pretty epic.

This is Kip the Evil Leprechaun Penguin.  I love the idea of this character.  I have a few comics I might post on here.   I used him as a texture and brushes test in photo shop.  We'll see if he goes anywhere.

Police Febrezes Protesters

He was just trying to make them smell good.   Got a little bored and photshoped this.  Compared to what is going on in Egypt we are very lucky to be able to protest and only get peppered sprayed.  Funny take on the pepper spray attack done by Chief Annette Spicuzza
